DR. JENNIE KELLOGG: Kat Monda

Kat Monda has been cast in the role of Dr. Jennie Kellogg, one of Sacramento's first female doctors. Kat is active in film, print and various artistic projects in Sacramento and the San Francisco area – she has been in several local independent award winning films including Ryan McKinney’s 'Memorial', Erik Candiani’s 'Working Stiff,' and Michal Poe’s 'The Good Death.' She was recently in award winning filmmaker Rob Nilsson’s 'Presque Isle' which is headed for Cannes, and has worked with Bay area artist Toban Nichols in his modern art piece 'Crylady Timex' using video as his medium last winter. A favorite claim to fame are two Lou Diamond Phillips films, including 'The Conjuring' coming to theatres this year. Kat considers herself very lucky to have been a theatre student of local actress Janis Stevens, who won several awards for her off-broadway portrayal of Vivien Leigh in the one woman show 'Vivien.' Kat balances life with one toe on the ground and one foot in the clouds by chasing her dreams, paying the bills, and keeping her cat Alejandro De La Vega out of trouble!

MISS AMES: Susan Andrews

Susan Andrews has been cast in the role of nineteenth-century Sacramento millinary shop owner Miss Ames, whose clientele include Margaret Crocker. Susan recently portrayed a modern-day Californian with a genetic secret in 'The Peculiar and Sudden Nearness of the Moon' at the Sacramento Theatre Company. Susan also appeared locally as Mrs. Hedges in 'Born Yesterday' at River Stage. In Atlanta her favorite stage roles included Lady MacBeth, Gertrude in 'Hamlet,' Eleanor in 'The Lion in Winter,' Dr. Livingstone in 'Agnes of God,' and Sabina in 'The Skin of Our Teeth.' Films include 'Bloodthirst 2' and 'Some Kind of Magic.'

SUSAN B. ANTHONY: Ann Tracy

Ann Tracy has been cast in the role of Susan B. Anthony, who campaigned for California womens' right to vote in 1869. Ann also works as a playwright, director, writer and artist. As the founding artistic director of Beyond the Proscenium Productions in 1994, she has directed over a dozen original works and many regional premieres for the company. Ann is the author of nine scripts, seven of which have been produced in California. She is a member of the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers, alumnae of the Directors Lab West and a member of the Dramatists Guild. Ann has appeared on stages in Northern California and Milwaukee and in the movie 'George B.' which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, as well as the independent features 'The Bullpen' and 'Kith & Kin' which are both in post-production. She was the first female voice on the air at KTLK, Denver in 1977 as an overnight radio news announcer. This first job in radio news led to a ten-year career as a broadcast journalist in the Denver, Milwaukee, San Jose and Sacramento. Ann is also an artist member of Asylum Gallery in Sacramento, CA. Ann’s fine art has been exhibited from Japan to Maui to New York City. In 2003 her work, 'Stop' was included in the catalog of the 'Violence Against Women' Group 78 Amnesty International, Tokyo, Japan.

MARY MARGARET: Paige Haynes

Teen actress Paige Haynes began her acting career at the age of 6 when she was cast as the lead in her school's production of 'The Little Red Hen' and she has never looked back. Most recently, Paige has completed production and will appear in 'Adina's Deck,' a television pilot series developed by a Stanford University grad student about teen cyber bullying. The pilot episode is scheduled to premiere on July 28, 2007. Paige also currently appears in a cable commercial for a local eatery. Paige's acting career includes an extensive background in musical theater and she has enjoyed studying and performing at Garbeau's Dinner Theater where she was a featured soloist in a montage of Broadway musical numbers including 'Little Shop of Horrors' and 'Anything Goes.' Through the years she has also performed in a variety of local musical theater productions. Paige is thrilled to be a part of the talented and dynamic film industry now flourishing in Northern California. When she's not performing, Paige enjoys playing her guitar, competitive swimming and any sport where she's standing sideways (surfing, snowboarding, skateboarding – you get the picture)!

FAINTING WOMAN: Teri Flores

Teri has been cast as a woman who faints while listening to Susan B. Anthony speak. Teri was born and raised in Los Angeles. She met her husband at American River College Theater. She is very thankful to have been acting and modeling professionally for the last four years. She has been in numerous local commercials, print ads and films. Some notable clients/projects include; Raleys/Belair, SureWest, Kitchen Aid, 'Pursuit of Happyness,' 'Her Minor Thing,' and 'The Shadow Asset.' Anytime she can be involved in a project that has meaning and purpose, she feels very blessed.

POLICE OFFICER: Steve Dakota

Steve Dakota is an information officer with the California Department of Consumer Affairs. The former singer and musician played a laboratory technician in ABC Circle Film's 1988 television mini-series 'War and Remembrance' and was cast as a prison guard in Rob Schneider's prison comedy 'Big Stan,' scheduled for U.S. release on April 4, 2008. 'Capital Women' marks the fifth time Steve has performed in a film for the Access Sacramento PCS Festival. He acted in 'Lost: Sacramento,' 'POV-K9' and 'The Keeper of the Clay' in 2006 and appeared in 'The Visitors' in 2005.

LEAFLET BOY: Joey Arbuckle

Joey Arbuckle was born in Folsom, California. Being the youngest of three boys, Joey has led a very active life. He has participated in two school plays at Lake Forest Elementary School, and sung in the school choir. He is currently taking drum lesson, and loves to jam with his older brothers. He enjoys traveling and has visited England, Italy, France and Mexico. He learned how to snorkel in Key Largo, Florida. One of his favorite activities is to make home-made movies with his friends. He plays extensively with his two dogs, and helps take care of them.

RUNNING BOY: Andrew Errante

Andrew Errante is 7 years old and was born in Roseville, California. He has been involved in modeling and commercial work for about 4 years. He has been in various print ads and fashions shows and is now very interested in acting. He loves music and is learning to play the piano. He also loves animals and currently hopes to be a marine biologist when he grows up. In his spare time, he’d like to sing in his own rock band and tour the world. Robert Lee has appeared as a principle in 'The Cleaner' by Chopping Block Flims and 'The World's Astonishing News' by Duo Creative Communications. He was featured in the video 'Loose Change' by Remo Conscience. He has also appeared in the following films/productions: 'Big Stan,' 'Karate Cop,' 'The War Prayer,' 'LESS,' 'Women's Murder Club,' and 'Pravus: The Beginning.' In his free time he enjoys snow skiing, sky diving and drums.
